About This Walk
Weekend outline
Friday: arrive on the Friday (anytime after midday), pitch your tent up, explore our conservation site and and camp out under the stars.
Saturday: wake up to the dawn chorus (it’s loud here!) and then start our fun-packed day at midday. Tom will provide a hearty foraged lunch, we’ll take a guided walk to the local Red Hart pub (c. 3 miles via off-road tracks) finding edible plants, make wild garlic pesto, watch a deer butchery demo, split into teams to BBQ, and then have an epic bonfire (with some acoustic guitar and singing).
Sunday: enjoy the peace and quiet of the site and head home in the afternoon.
We will provide some local booze but by all means, bring your own too.
Tickets are £105 for adults and £20 for children (the walk is around six miles so probably not suitable for small children).
Included in the price: Friday and Saturday night camping. Foraging walk led by Tom. Lunch, snack, and BBQ (venison and greens) on the Saturday.
For those looking to stay in style, our converted school-bus and woodland cabin are available. Contact us directly at hello@castlewildcamp.co.uk to upgrade.
