Local Tasting

A relaxed introduction to wild food and local produce.

Join us for a seasonal guided walk through the countryside, learning about edible, medicinal and even dangerous plants, then get a chance to sample dishes made with wild food and also taste a selection of produce from local and sustainable producers.

On the walk you’ll learn how to identify a selection of wild ingredients, hear some of the folklore attached to them and begin to see the landscape differently.

We’ll finish by gathering around a generous tasting board featuring a changing selection of wild and locally produced food. Depending on the location and season, that might include local cheese, bread, preserves, charcuterie and something seasonal to drink.

This isn’t simply a foraging walk. It’s a chance to explore a place through the food it produces, both wild and cultivated in relaxed and entertaining company.
