Producer's Table

Experience wild food and locally produced food and meet the people who produce it.

The Producer’s Table brings together wild food, local produce and the people responsible for growing, rearing and making it.

We’ll begin with a guided seasonal walk, exploring the edible plants, medicinal plants and even dangerous plants found in the surrounding landscape. We’ll discover their flavours, uses and the folklore surrounding them which connect us to our ancestors.

Returning to the venue we’ll sit down to a generous sharing table built around the food of the area. Depending on the location, you may meet a farmer, grower, cheesemaker, baker, brewer or another independent producer and hear the stories behind what they make.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about where our food comes from, enjoy it in the place it belongs and hear from the with people who care deeply about producing it well.
